This article is taken from an address President Benson gave at the Centennial of the Logan Temple, 17 May 1984.  It is almost totally devoted to explaining the meaning of the phrase “order of the Priesthood” as used in the revelations and the teachings of Joseph Smith.  He equates it with obtaining a fulness of the priesthood and the patriarchal order of the priesthood and gives some detail and explanation with relevant authoritative quotations. Interestingly, he said this is “background” that should be taught to the youth prior to their attending the temple, and to motivate an prepare them to do so!
